Do you put off cleaning your ceiling fans because it can be a tedious and messy job? Here are a few suggestions to help you with the maintenance of ceiling fans to make the job easier and less messy.
The first suggestion is to use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe down the lightbulbs. Of course, first, make sure your lightbulbs are completely cool before doing this. Then, if your ceiling fan has glass globes, detach these and wash them with warm soapy water.
The next suggestion is to try to clean your ceiling fans about twice a year. You could do this in the spring and fall, and this will reduce the amount of dust buildup on the ceiling fans.
The last suggestion is to clean your ceiling fan blades with a pillowcase. Lightly spray the inside of a pillowcase with an all-purpose cleaner or a solution of vinegar and water. Then place the pillowcase over a blade and pull the pillowcase towards you, wiping the blade as you go. This will trap all the dust and debris inside the pillowcase. Then if there is any dust left, wipe the blade with a microfiber cloth.
These are just a few suggestions to help you clean your ceiling fans with less mess and to make the job easier.
