Water Testing
Water Quality Testing is especially important when you have well water in use at the property. I always recommend completing a full water quality analysis when you are looking to purchase a property to live in. Well water can change over time and should be tested every 1 to 2 years depending on other factors. We can also test for radon in the water which can be harmful when Higher values are present.
All Samples are taken to a local lab where they do their own testing in NH at Nelson Laboratories.
If you are doing a FHA loan on a property that has a private well you will be required to provide your lender an FHA min Water test that is dated within 90 days of your closing.

Septic Inspections
If the home you are looking to purchase is not on a town sewer system you will most likely be on a private septic system and now before the purchase of the home is the time to also have this inspected. The septic system is a very expensive system if it needs to be replaced so spending $225 to $350 now is a very smart decision in your home buying decision. The septic system could be functioning fine now with only 1 or 2 people living in the home but when your growing family is moving in you are going to have a larger use of water typically and the septic system might not be able to handle the additional load.
Stone Wall Home Inspections does not perform your septic inspection but can help you out with getting one scheduled depending on location.
We have some trusted vendors that we know provide a high level of service for our clients. We try and actually schedule your septic inspection for you at the same time as your home inspection to try and keep things simple for everyone if possible. We do not charge any extra to schedule your inspection than if you called these companies yourself. Below are a couple of septic inspection companies that we have worked with in the past.
New Construction
If you are building a custom home or buying a spec house in a large neighborhood you will never know if the builder has your best interest in mind? The only way to get an honest unbiased opinion of the homes construction is to hire your own home inspection where they will be looking out for you!
Pre-Listing Inspections
When you list your home for sale wouldn’t it be nice to know what items may be called out during a buyer’s home inspection? An inspection before your home goes on the market will give you the information needed to make your real estate transaction go through much smoother. When knowing what areas need attention you can make the decision to take care of them on your on time without dealing with tight time frames around the sale of your home. It will take the stress of not knowing out of the way and give you the time to deal with things as you see fit.
Builder Warranty Inspections
Most builders will offer a one year warranty when you purchase a new home. It is always a good idea to get a trained eye to point out any thing that would not be considered normal from new construction.
